\nPrime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik received today, Wednesday, a telephone call from the US Special Envoy to Yemen Timothy Lenderking.<\/p>\n
The phone conversation dealt with the latest developments in the Yemeni national landscape, mainly the UN-led peace process and the US ongoing efforts aim to make peace in Yemen.<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister reinstated that the government is very keen to deal constructively with all efforts aiming to achieve the durable peace based on the three terms of reference; blaming Iran-allied Houthi militia for prolong the war and blocking all good offices and efforts intended to stop fighting and negotiate political settlement.<\/p>\n
“The International Community and the US face a real test to press for peace by ramping up pressures upon Houthi militia and its sponsors in Tehran”, said Maeen.<\/p>\n
For his part, Lenderking confirmed his administration’s support for the Yemeni government and for its presence and actions in the temporary capital Aden; rejecting any outlawed actions undermine the consensus realized per Riyadh Agreement.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
