\nThe British Ambassador to Yemen, Richard Oppenheim, welcomed the initiative of the Gulf Cooperation Council for the Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue, which will be launched this week in Riyadh. He called on everyone to participate in good faith and seize the opportunity to address difficult issues in a peaceful and comprehensive manner.<\/p>\n
The UK fully supports the efforts of the UN Special Envoy, Hans Grundberg, to consult with a wide range of Yemeni political and social elites on a new comprehensive peace process, he said in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba).<\/p>\n
The ambassador said this week marks the end of the seventh year and the beginning of the eighth year of the war in Yemen.<\/p>\n
The conflict casts its shadow over ordinary Yemenis more than ever, while the human suffering is unbearable..
