Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, has reiterated
\nthe council
\nand government’s commitment to the option of a just peace that reflects the Yemeni people’s open
\nperspective towards all the national stakeholders, away from sectarianism, the (divine) selection
\ntheory, discrimination, exclusion and marginalization, and the rejection of any projects that
\nconflict with the nation’s interests and the future of their successive generations.<\/p>\n
The presidential remarks came in an address on the occasion of the nation’s celebration of the 61st
\nanniversary of the September 26 Revolution, the 60th anniversary of the October Fourteenth Revolution,<\/p>\n
and the 56th anniversary of the Independence Day, November 30.
\nThe Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council called on the Houthi militia to exercise reason,
\nrespond to peace mediation efforts, and to not put
\nthe interests of their leaders and supporters over the interests of the Yemeni people.<\/p>\n
The President urged the Houthi militia to submit to the popular will to build a state
\nbased on internal partnership, good neighborliness, and active and constructive
\nengagement with its Gulf and Arab surrounding, in order to serve the Yemeni people
\nand their economic, political and social interests.<\/p>\n
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council renewed the call to the Yemeni
\npeople in Houthi-controlled regions to reject the Imamite theocratic project and
\nthose who believe in it, regardless of its roots and origins.<\/p>\n
He also repeated the warning to all interest groups and stakeholders that the rogue
\nHouthi militias are trying to portray themselves as defending them, and are using the
\nsiege mentality logic in a blatant deception and fallacious distortion of our tolerant
\nhistory and cultural, social, and human heritage.<\/p>\n
He said, Those who are still deceived by the slogans of these militias must remember
\nthe sacrifices of our great leaders and the suffering of our people; liberate their will;
\nnot fall to superstition and enslavement tricks; and declare their frank position alongside
\nthe values of the state and equal citizenship.<\/p>\n
He warned against continuing to deal with the practices of these militias with a kind<\/p>\n
and media elites, because history will record these positions and will favor
\nonly the brave today and tomorrow.<\/p>\n
He stressed that the battle that our people are waging today is not a civil, regional,
\nor international war, but rather a battle between the Imamate and the Republic, between
\nfreedom and slavery, between those who claim the divine right to rule the Yemenis,
