\nYemen’s Ambassador to Iraq al-Khadher Marmash met Wednesday with Iraqi Deputy Foreign Minister for Bilateral Relations Mohammed Bahr al-Uloom.<\/p>\n
Ambassador Marmash discussed the Yemeni government’s efforts to achieve peace and its responsiveness to the initiatives of the UN Secretary-General\u2019s envoy for peace, based on the Gulf Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference, and international resolutions, particularly Resolution 2216.<\/p>\n
He pointed out to the Houthi militias’ stubbornness regarding governmental, regional, and international efforts, including the initiative from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n
He noted that the militias have escalated their actions, with their latest threat to international navigation.<\/p>\n
For his part, the Iraqi Deputy Foreign Minister affirmed Iraq’s steadfast position regarding Yemen and the legitimate government, emphasizing Iraq’s commitment and strong support for finding a peaceful solution to the Yemeni crisis through dialogue among Yemenis and avoiding the ravages of war and conflict.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
