MOSCOW – SABA<\/p>\n
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, arrived in Moscow on Tuesday for an official visit to the Russian Federation at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.<\/p>\n
Upon arrival at Vnukovo Airport, Dr. al-Alimi was greeted by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin, Yemeni Ambassador to Russia Ahmed al-Wuhayshi, and members of the embassy.<\/p>\n
The ceremony included the playing of the national anthems of both countries and a guard of honor.<\/p>\n
During his visit, Dr. al-Alimi will hold talks with President Putin to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations and coordinate positions on issues of mutual interest.<\/p>\n
The discussions will focus on recent developments in Yemen and the region, including efforts to achieve peace and stability.<\/p>\n
The visit will also include meetings with senior officials in the State Duma and the Russian government, as well as other key figures interested in Yemen’s cultural and intellectual heritage.<\/p>\n
Dr. al-Alimi praised the long-standing relations between Yemen and Russia, which date back nearly a century.<\/p>\n
