\nThe United Nations has welcomed the call by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, to convene a dialogue conference for the southern components in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.<\/p>\n
The Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, St\u00e9phane Dujarric, said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that \u201cthe United Nations is closely following the recent developments in eastern and southern Yemen,\u201d affirming the international organization\u2019s support for resolving differences through dialogue.<\/p>\n
Dujarric added: \u201cThe UN Special Envoy for Yemen continues his direct engagement with all relevant Yemeni and regional parties.\u201d<\/p>\n
He renewed the United Nations\u2019 commitment to supporting Yemenis in reaching a sustainable and comprehensive negotiated political settlement to end the conflict in Yemen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
