The Republic of Yemen welcomes the announcement by His Excellency President Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America, regarding the conclusion of an agreement on a ceasefire in the sisterly Republic of Lebanon.<\/p>\n
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs commends all efforts that contributed to the achievement of this agreement.<\/p>\n
The Ministry further affirms the full support of the Republic of Yemen for the efforts of His Excellency President Joseph Aoun and his government in all that serves the unity and territorial integrity of Lebanon, the protection of its citizens, and the restoration of security and stability in the brotherly country.<\/p>\n
The Ministry expresses its hope that this announcement will constitute a genuine step toward enabling the Lebanese state to exercise its full sovereignty over all its territory, strengthen its national institutions, and ensure that arms are exclusively in the hands of the state, with sole authority over decisions of war and peace, in a manner that serves the interests of the Lebanese people, safeguards their security and stability, and preserves their firm Arab identity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
