Yemen\u2019s Ambassador to the United States, Jamila Raja, met with a delegation of students from the Department of Political Science at the University of Wisconsin\u2013Milwaukee to discuss current developments and regional and international dynamics, as well as their implications for the Yemeni file.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, Ambassador Raja highlighted the political, economic, and humanitarian developments in Yemen, outlining the various challenges facing the country and the efforts undertaken by the Yemeni government to achieve a comprehensive and just peace based on the agreed references, while advancing development initiatives and improving the living conditions of citizens.<\/p>\n
The discussion also addressed the role of international partnerships in supporting peace and stability efforts in Yemen, as well as the importance of safeguarding regional security, including security in the Red Sea, ensuring freedom of navigation, and protecting global trade routes.<\/p>\n
Ambassador Raja underscored the importance of engaging with students and future leaders as a means of fostering a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities related to Yemen. She also emphasized the vital role of academic dialogue in promoting more informed perspectives on international issues.<\/p>\n
