\nMinister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Dr. Afrah al-Zouba discussed Monday with Tunisia\u2019s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Al-Nafti, developments in Yemen, the continued escalation by the Houthi terrorist militias, with the support of the Iranian regime, and its repercussions on the domestic situation and the security of the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab.<\/p>\n
The discussion took place during a telephone call, during which the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to strengthen and develop them, as well as the latest developments on the Arab and regional fronts.<\/p>\n
Minister al-Zouba pointed to the state\u2019s priority of protecting citizens, ensuring the continued functioning of its institutions, extending its sovereignty over the entirety of its territory, and preventing Yemeni territory and coastlines from being used as a platform to threaten neighboring countries and international navigation.<\/p>\n
Minister al-Zuba praised the distinguished bilateral relations between the Republic of Yemen and the Republic of Tunisia and the continued development they have witnessed across various fields.<\/p>\n
She also commended Tunisia\u2019s supportive positions toward Yemen, as well as its efforts during its presidency of the 166th session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, and the efforts it made to support joint Arab action and enhance coordination regarding regional issues and challenges.<\/p>\n
For his part, the Tunisian minister affirmed his country\u2019s position in support of Yemen\u2019s security, stability, unity and territorial integrity.<\/p>\n
He confirmed Tunisia\u2019s keenness to develop cooperation between the two countries and continue consultations and coordination in Arab and international forums on issues of common interest.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
