Foreign Ministry condemns recurrent permission of the Swedish authorities to offend the Holy Quran

ADEN-SABA

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned in the strongest terms the repeated permission of the authorities in Sweden to offend the Holy Qur’an under the pretext of freedom of expression.

It stated that offending the Islamic sanctities and provoking Muslims’ feelings are neither humane nor moral values, they have nothing to do with freedom of expression.

The Ministry noted that allowing extremists who adopt hatred to offend Islamic beliefs harms Sweden and strains its relations with Islamic countries.

The Foreign Ministry called on the Swedish government to put an end to these reckless behaviors and to stop the recurrence of this crime which is inconsistent with freedom of faith.
