Water and Environment minister closely looks at shipwreck of Rubymar vessel

MOKHA – SABA
Minister of Water and Environment has surveyed the shipwreck of the vessel “Rubymar in the Red Sea for possible leakage of of pesticides and inorganic fertilizers that were on board the ship before it sank.

Minister Eng. Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi told Saba, “We are here today to ensure that the ship’s surroundings and coasts are free of any pollution that may result from the leakage of fertilizer shipments from the sunken ship.”

A missile launched in a terrorist Houthi attack last March sank the ship in the Red Sea, an attack on Iran’s behalf as Iran keeps efforts to militarize the Red Sea.
