Yemen Condemns Israeli National Security Minister’s Incursion into Al-Aqsa Mosque

ADEN – SABA
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has strongly condemned the incursion by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir accompanied by groups of settlers into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque on Monday under the protection of Israeli occupation police.

The Ministry described the act as a flagrant violation of international law and the existing historical and legal status quo at the Noble Sanctuary in Jerusalem, as well as an unacceptable provocation and desecration of its sanctity.

In a statement, the Ministry affirmed the Republic of Yemen’s rejection of these practices and attempts to alter the status quo at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

It warned of the consequences of continued violations for the security and stability of the region.

The Ministry called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and take firm measures to halt these violations.

It also reiterated the Republic of Yemen’s steadfast position in support of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people led by the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within the borders of 4 June 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
