Bin Mubarak briefs the EU PSC on political, humanitarian situations in Yemen

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr.Ahmed Bin Mubarak held virtual discussions today, Thursday, with the Political and Security Committee (PSC) in the EU in Brussels.

The session aimed to discuss the latest developments about the political and humanitarian situations in Yemen amid the continuation of Houthi militia’s military operation on Marib governorate and its political and humanitarian implications.

Bin Mubarak detailed the EU PSC members on the progress realized in implementing Riyadh Agreement and the ongoing work on the implementation of the security and military articles of the agreement.

He pointed out to the Houthi militia’s ongoing military aggression on Marib and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Minister affirmed that the government has continued to support the efforts have been made by the UN Special Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths and it will keep on working to achieve the national reconciliation, restore the state’s institution and eliminate the militia’s coup.

The EU PSC’s members confirmed the EU’s support for the Yemeni government’s efforts to achieve peace, re-establish security and stability. They also affirmed the EU’s support to the efforts of the UN envoy Mr. Griffiths to reach political settlement.
