Japan Provides $2 Million in Food Assistance to Yemen

The Government of Japan has provided a grant of $2 million to the World Food Programme (WFP) to enhance food assistance in Yemen.

The grant will benefit approximately 700,000 vulnerable individuals in Yemen, enabling the purchase of food products tailored to support these groups.

Deputy Foreign Minister, Dr. Mansour Bajash, emphasized the Yemeni government’s commitment to facilitating humanitarian projects and ensuring aid reaches those in need efficiently and transparently.

He noted that this project represents a tangible step towards alleviating the suffering of hundreds of thousands of Yemeni families.
