The Yemeni Government has called on the United Nations to rump up pressure upon Houthi rebels to act jointly against coronavirus pandemic.
It stated that coronavirus pandemic has been constituting a major challenge requires substantial support from the International Community to make Yemen donors conference 2020 helpful.
The gathering is scheduled for June 2,2020 co-organized by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Nations.
The Foreign Ministry issued a statement learned by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) in which it stated that it happened the government demanded establishing a joint committee tasked with coordinate the efforts to counter coronavirus pandemic all over Yemen.
The government reiterated its insistence on the urgency for setting-up a joint committee to coordinate anti-coronavirus actions throughout the Yemeni territories. It stated that Houthi militia shouldn’t be allowed to politicize this issue to get concessions over other dossiers.
