Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Afrah Al-Zouba today discussed with Norway’s non-resident Ambassador to Yemen Kjersti Tromsdal ways to strengthen bilateral relations, developments in the humanitarian situation, and support for humanitarian response efforts.
Dr Al-Zouba expressed her appreciation for Norway’s support to Yemen. She also congratulated Ambassador Tromsdal on her accreditation as Norway’s non-resident Ambassador to Yemen, wishing her success in carrying out her duties and contributing to the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries.
Minister Al-Zouba affirmed that targeting commercial vessels in the Red Sea poses a threat to the security and safety of maritime navigation and the freedom of international trade.
For her part, the Norwegian Ambassador reaffirmed her country’s continued support for the Yemeni government and its commitment to supporting efforts aimed at achieving peace in Yemen. She also congratulated Minister Al-Zouba on her appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, wishing her success in carrying out her duties.
