Yemen’s Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany Louay al-Eryani, met Monday with Ambassador Clemens Hach, Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the German Federal Foreign Office.
The meeting discussed developments in Yemen, as well as the recent Houthi escalation and the militia’s threats to maritime security in the Red Sea.
Ambassador al-Eryani reaffirmed the Yemeni government’s commitment to peace as its primary option, as well as its commitment to protecting Yemen’s sovereignty, national interests and lives of its citizens.
Ambassador Al-Eryani expressed his appreciation for Germany’s supportive position toward Yemen, commending Germany’s support for the Yemeni government and people and its backing of efforts aimed at achieving peace.
For his part, the German Official reaffirmed his country government’s support for the government of Yemen and people.
He also confirmed Germany’s support for peace efforts.
He mentioned Germany’s appreciation for the relations between the two friendly countries and its keenness to further strengthen them.
