FM: STC’s militants must withdraw from seized posts before dialogue

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad al-Hadhrami has renewed government’s welcome to Saudi call for holding a meeting on tackling Southern Transitional Council’s (STC) rebellion against state institutions in the transitional capital Aden.

Al-Hadrami confirmed necessity of abiding by Arab Coalition’s release issued on August 10, 2019 demanding withdrawal of armed groups of the STC from the positions they took over during the past few days.

He also confirmed that the STC should hand over weapons and return of the government’s forces to those positions.
“All violations against innocent citizens and military, security and social leaders in all their held-areas including Aden and Lahj provinces must be stopped,” he stressed.
