The Republic of Yemen Strongly Condemns the Iranian Attacks on the Sovereignty of the Sisterly State of Kuwait

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expresses the Republic of Yemen’s strongest condemnation of the hostile acts carried out by an armed group affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps through its infiltration into Bubiyan Island of the sisterly State of Kuwait, in a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of a United Nations member state, the principles of international law, and all norms of good neighbourliness.

The Republic of Yemen affirms that this aggressive conduct constitutes a direct extension of the Iranian regime’s longstanding policy of exporting chaos, undermining the security and stability of the region, and employing cross-border militias and armed groups as instruments of coercion and threats to regional security.

The Ministry warns of the grave consequences of the Iranian regime’s continued escalatory policies and its repeated disregard for international law, stressing that such actions pose a serious threat to international peace and security and undermine efforts aimed at de-escalation and restoring stability across the region.

The Ministry further reiterates the Republic of Yemen’s full solidarity with the sisterly State of Kuwait — its leadership, government, and people — and its unequivocal support for all measures undertaken to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability. It also underscores that the security of Kuwait and neighbouring states constitutes an integral part of Yemen’s security and global stability.

The Ministry calls upon the international community and the United Nations Security Council to adopt a firm and deterrent stance against the violations committed by the Iranian regime and to put an end to its destabilizing policies, which have come to pose an unprecedented threat to regional security, international navigation, and the global economy.
