U.S. President Donald J. Trump today received the credentials of Her Excellency Jamila Ali Raja, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Yemen to the United States.
During the credentialing ceremony at the White House, Ambassador Jamila Raja conveyed the greetings of His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), to the U.S. President. She emphasized the Yemeni government’s commitment to strengthening and advancing strategic cooperation and partnership between the two friendly nations across various political, economic, security, and developmental fields.
Ambassador Jamila Raja underscored the vital importance of U.S. support for the Yemeni government’s efforts to restore state institutions, achieve stability, and alleviate the humanitarian crisis facing the Yemeni people, while praising the historical ties that bind the Republic of Yemen and the United States.
For his part, President Donald Trump welcomed Ambassador Jamila Raja, wishing her success in her diplomatic mission. He requested that she convey his greetings to President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, and reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to enhancing bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
