Yemeni Ambassador to Washington Discusses Strengthening Partnership with World Bank

 

WASHINGTON

The Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to the United States of America, Jamila Ali Raja, held talks with the Executive Director of the Arab Group at the World Bank, Abdulaziz Al-Mulla.

The meeting reviewed the World Bank’s interventions and development financing. During the discussions, the Ambassador expressed the Yemeni government’s appreciation for the Bank’s interventions aimed at strengthening and stabilizing infrastructure, enhancing basic services, and empowering state institutions. She also commended the high level of coordination and the significant visits made by World Bank officials to Aden.

For his part, the World Bank Executive Director, Abdulaziz Al-Mulla, praised the ongoing partnership, reaffirming the Bank’s commitment through its operations and projects in Yemen to focus on development, job creation, and the stabilization of essential services.
