Yemen’s Foreign Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad Bin Mubarak, discussed with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Yemen Kang Yong the political developments and the efforts of the peace process in light of the Saudi initiative to end the war and establish peace.

Bin Mubarak said that the Yemeni government welcomes the initiative which provides for a comprehensive ceasefire, the opening of Sana’a airport to a number of destinations, completing the implementation of the Stockholm Agreement and the entry of ships adhering to the UN Security Council resolutions to Hodeidah ports, provided that revenue funds are deposited to the Central Bank to pay the salaries of state employees as per the 2014 payrolls, in addition to supporting the resumption of political consultations.

Bin Mubarak noted that this initiative is a true test of the seriousness of the Houthi militia in reaching a comprehensive and sustainable peace.

Bin Mubarak said that the Houthi putschist militia continue to escalate their war against the governorate of Ma’rib and target its populated areas with ballistic missiles and booby-trapped drones attacks including attacks on IDP camps inhabited by more than two million people, who sought refuge in Marib to escape the crackdown of the terrorist militia.
