Kuwaiti Prime Minister receives Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expats

KUWAIT – SABA
The Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah al-Khalid al-Sabah received today the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed Bin Mubarak.

Aspects of bilateral ties and cooperation between the two countries in different fields was key focus of the conversation.

The latest developments in the Yemeni landscape including the ongoing regional and international efforts to push the political process and achieve permanent peace were elaborately discussed.

Bin Mubarak highly praised the supportive stances of the state of Kuwait in support of the Yemeni people and Yemen’s security and stability.
He deeply appreciative Kuwait constant support for Yemen politically, economically, developmentally throughout different stages and circumstances, particularly at this critical stage.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs stated that the Yemeni government has always been a keen peace seeker, meanwhile Houthi militia has continued to escalate military operations on Marib, refuse to sit down to negotiate political settlement to establish permanent peace.

The Kuwaiti Prime Minister reiterated Kuwait’s support for the Yemeni people amid current circumstances Yemen has been going through.

Sheikh al-Sabah voiced willingness to provide the Yemeni people with developmental and humanitarian aid to help bringing about security and economic stability.

He also confirmed his country’s supportive position in support of the Yemeni legitimate government, Yemen’s unity and territorial integrity.

The Kuwaiti Prime Minister affirmed Kuwait’s support for the ongoing international efforts to establish in Yemen based on the three terms of reference including the GCC’s Infinitive, Executive Mechanism, outcomes of National Dialogue and International Security Council resolution 2216.
