Bin Mubarak, Bogdanov discuss peace efforts in Yemen

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed Bin Mubarak held talks today here with the Special Envoy of the Russian President to the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov over the peace efforts in Yemen and the Russian role in the upcoming stage.

Bin Mubarak briefed Bogdanov on the political and military situations in Yemen. He stated that the Yemeni government is committed to continue to deal constructively with every proposal for peace in order to achieve the comprehensive and sustainable peace, nevertheless the obstructions the Houthi militias create to block the peace efforts and its continuing military operations on the governorate of Marib.

The Foreign Minister pointed out to the hazard of the division proposals which risking Yemen’s future, security and stability. He stated that the united Yemen which brings all Yemenis together with equal rights, fair distribution of power and wealth is the genuine guarantee for security and peace in Yemen and the region.

For his part, Bogdanov affirmed his country’s support for the efforts aiming to reach a comprehensive political settlement ends the war and establish peace and stability in Yemen.

He reiterated his country’s principled stance in support of Yemen, maintaining its unity, stability and territorial integrity.
