Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed Bin Mubarak said ” It is time for the artilleries uproars to stop and ring the peace bells, Houthi militias ought to grab the chance to make peace, respond constructively to the Omani mediation, UN’s peace proposals and regional ones to end the war and sit down to negotiate peace and re-establish security and stability in Yemen”.
As he met with the Chairman of the Council of State in the Sultanate of Oman Abdulmalik al-Khalili today, in Muscat, Bin Mubarak added” a comprehensive cease-fire is very important move toward handling all humanitarian issues, besides re-open Sana’a airport and Hodeida seaport per Stockholm Agreement, and sit down together for negotiations, Houthis must grasp this opportunity to achieve fair and comprehensive peace”.
Bin Mubarak and al-Khalili conferred over the developments in Yemen and the ongoing regional and international efforts to stop the war and make peace.
The Foreign Minister highly praised the role of the Sultanate of Oman in supporting the international and regional good offices to stop the war, push political process and establish comprehensive peace in Yemen and stability in the region.
The Omani official confirmed his country’s keenness to realize sustainable peace in Yemen, end the war and the Yemeni peoples’ suffering.
He reiterated Oman’s principled stance in support of Yemen’s security, stability, unity and its territorial integrity.
