FM holds discussions in Aden with European Ambassadors

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed Bin Mubarak held talks today in the temporary capital Aden with the Ambassadors of France, the Netherlands, Germany, the CAD of the EU Mission and Swedish Envoy to Yemen.

The deliberations covered a range of topical issues including Houthi militia military operations and violations, the implementation of Riyadh Agreement, the economic hardships and Safer Oil Tanker looming disaster.

The EU contribution to the ongoing efforts to make peace, re-establish security and stability was also deliberately discussed.

Bin Mubarak detailed the EU diplomats on Houthi militia’s grave violations and atrocities including firing ballistic missiles on residential areas and civil facilities, citing the militia’s ballistic missiles on Marib city, al-Mocha seaport, killing nine people among them under-age boy and the militia’s choking besiege upon al-Abidia District in Marib.

He plainly held Houthi militia accountable for prolonging the conflict and worsening the Yemeni peoples’ suffering, continuing to refuse collaboration about Safer Oil Tanker.

The EU diplomats confirmed their support for the government’s operation in the temporary capital Aden and the implementation of Riyadh Agreement in full.

The also affirmed the EU countries’ contribution to the UN-led peace efforts to make peace in Yemen, asserting the EU support for Yemen’s unity, sovereignty and its territorial integrity.
