Yemen calls on the UNSC, IC to remove Houthi-imposed blockade on al-Abdia District in Marib

The Yemen Government has stressed that the Yemeni peoples are going to keep on battling Iran-allied Houthi militia coup d’état, struggling for reinstating official authority and handling economic hardship, notwithstanding the terrorism and sabotage actions, the latest of all the assassination attempt against Aden Governor and Ministry of Agriculture last Sunday in the temporary capital Aden.

Speaking at International Security Council (UNSC) session about status-quo in the Middle East (Yemen) Yemen’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Abdullah Assa’id said ” The return of the Prime Minister and a number of the Cabinet members to the temporary capital Aden is a clear evidence that the government is insisting on doing its job even amid an extremely difficult circumstances in order to re-establish security, stability and provide the Yemeni peoples with basic services”.

He added ” The government return to Aden also has expressly demonstrated that the government is sincerely seeking to get Riyadh Agreement implementation accomplished, because it constitutes a road map for uniting ranks, so it must be implemented in full sooner not later.

Assa’di called on the (UNSC) and International Community (IC) to take necessary measures to eliminate Houthi-imposed besiege upon al-Abdia District of Marib governorate and put an end of the militia’s terrorist crimes, saving the lives of thousands of the civilians.
