Houthis committed over 36,000 violations in Aljawf in 2021, says report

A human rights report launched today by the Rights and Media Committee in Aljawf Governorate revealed that it documented 36,153 violations committed by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia in the governorate during the past year 2021 AD.

The report stated that the violations ranged between killing, injury, assaults, torture, arrests, planting mines, looting humanitarian aid, recruiting child soldiers from schools, storming and looting public and private institutions. The report referred to the documentation of (51) cases of extrajudicial killings, and (74) wounding of civilians, including women and children.

The report indicated that (201) cases of violations against children were documented, including (126) cases of recruitment of child soldiers, (75) cases of training and implication of children in military operations, (59) cases of kidnapping and enforced disappearance, and (8) cases of torture. and (156) cases of intrusion and looting of private property.
