Yemen condemns Houthi drone attack on civil airport in Jazan city southern Saudi Arabia

The Republic of Yemen has condemned with the strongest terms Iran-backed Houthi militias’ laden-explosives drone attack against King Abdullah’s airport in the city of Jazan southern the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, resulted in injuring several civilians of different nationalities.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued a statement learned by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) reads” This hostile terrorist attempt to target a civil airport protected under the Humanitarian International Law (HIL) is a war crime and flagrant violation of the HIL and conventional norms requires a decisive reaction by the international community to stop such terrorist behaviors of Iran-allied Houthi militias which turned seaports and airports in its-held regions into military bases to carry out its terrorist operations including ballistic missiles and drones attacks, hijacking commercial ships, threatening international security and stability”.

The Ministry reiterated the Republic of Yemen’s stance in support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and all measures it takes to deter these terrorist actions, protect its peoples, expats and facilities.
