Yemeni Network for Rights condemns Houthi burning of African immigrants’ tents

Aden – Saba
The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms denounced the Houthi rebel militia’s crime of burning of tents of African immigrants in the border area of Raqw in Saada Governorate, which resulted in the death of 17 people and the injury of others.

The final casualty toll is not yet known. In a statement, the network indicated that the militia continues its crimes against defenseless civilians and is working to eliminate those who refuse to be drawn into its terrorist recruitment plans and fight in its ranks or work in the field of smuggling drugs and cross-border contraband to a number of countries.

The network considered this crime a new addition to the militia’s bloody record, especially after the burning of more than 60 Africans in the passport prison in the capital Sana’a in the year 2020, not to mention the ongoing crimes against defenseless Yemeni civilians.
