BinMubarak discusses with US ambassador latest developments in Yemen

Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ahmad Awadh BinMubarak discussed Tuesday with US Ambassador to Yemen Stephen Fagen via telephone call latest developments in Yemen under Houthi militia’s continuous stubbornness and rejection of implementing its pledges included in the UN truce.

He expressed Yemen’s appreciation to efforts exerted by the United States to contribute in solving Yemen’s crisis, praising US position, which confirms ending Houthi militia’s coup and realizing peace on the bases of the internationally agreed upon references led by Security Council’s resolution 2216.

He confirmed that Houthi militia’s continuous siege on Taiz city hinders peace efforts and confirms the militia’s rejection to peace.

For his part, the US diplomat confirmed his country’s support to Yemen and its support to peaceful solution to Yemen’s crisis, ending the war and protecting Yemen’s unity, security and stability.
