Yemen’s Ambassador receives Austrian MP on latest developments

Yemen’s Ambassador to the Republic of Austria Haitham Shuga’ddin met Monday with Member of the Austrian Parliament representing Green Party Michel Rimon discussing with him latest developments in Yemen and Houthi militia’s rejection of UN envoy’s proposal on extending the humanitarian truce.

Shuga’ddin touched upon the topic of Safir Oil Tanker, which represent huge threat not only on environment in Yemen but also on all countries overlooking the Red Sea, pointing out to Houthi terrorist militia’s delay of interaction with UN efforts and creating obstacles before the UN team’s access to do maintenance work to the tanker to blackmail international community.

He confirmed importance of speeding up rescuing the tanker on the basis of the UN emergency team to avoid potential disaster.

For his part, the Austrian MP confirmed his country’s welcome to positive role of the government of Yemen and significance of supporting efforts of the UN envoy to realize peace in Yemen and solving Safir Tanker’s issue.
