Foreign Minister hails Yemeni-Chinese relationship as strong

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed BinMubarak described relations between Yemen and the Peoples’ Republic of China as deeply established and robust.

His remark came during his meeting today, Thursday, here with the Charged’ Affairs of the Peoples’ Republic of China’s embassy to our country.

The session intended to discuss bilateral relations and coordination about issues of common interest.

The conversations covered latest developments in Yemen including the failure of the UN-led efforts to extend the truce due to Houthi militias’ unhelpful position and intransigence.

BinMubarak blamed Houthi militias for seeking to bring Yemen back to the warfare, widen its scope to threaten international navigation in the Red Sea and world energy supplies in Yemen and the region.

He stated that the legitimate government has acted flexibly, fulfilled all articles of the truce agreement in order to alleviate the Yemeni peoples’ suffering, while Houthi militias failed to honor its obligations, violated the articles to serve the Iranian expansion scheme at the expense of the Yemenis’ welfare.

The Chinese diplomat confirmed China’s support for Yemen, its unity and stability.

He also reiterated the China’s support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the UN-led efforts to make peace, end the war.
