President al-Alimi: The “Green Middle East Initiative” will achieve Sustainable Development Goals

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-ALimi, Chairman of Presidential Leadership Council, hailed the Green Middle East Initiative, endorsed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a creative notion that will greatly promote chances for environmental collaboration with the concerned parties around the world about the development of the region and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

His statement came as he contributed to the Second Session of the Green Middle East Summit which kicked off its discussions today, Monday in Sharm El-Sheikh simultaneously with COP27.

The Green Middle East Summit is co-chaired by His Excellency President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt and His Royal His Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Salaman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Al-Alimi said” The Green Middle East Initiative is set to be a significant contribution by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the efforts aiming to reduce the warmness of our planet and the negative impacts of the Climate Changes”.
