Foreign Minister confers with American Ambassador over situations in Yemen

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed BinMubarak held discussions today, Sunday, with the American Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Steven Fagin over the ongoing efforts to make peace amid the Terrorist Houthi militias’ intransigence and rejection to the peace proposals and international good offices to end the war in Yemen.

BinMubarak warned of the dangerous consequences of the Iranian regime’s malicious interference in Yemen to prolong the war with the aim of destabilizing the region’s stability.

He noted that the Iranian regime has continuous to provide the Terrorist Houthi militias with the weapons in violation of the International Security Council’s resolutions.

The Foreign Minister praised the American Navy’s continuous efforts to intercept and confiscate the Iranian weapons shipments to the Terrorist Houthi militias.

The American Ambassador confirmed his country’s support for the efforts have been made by the UN’s envoy to Yemen to make peace.

Mr. Fagin reiterated his administration’s support for the Presidential Leadership Council, Yemen’s security, unity and stability.
