Ambassador Al-Saadi reviews with Philippine Deputy Foreign Minister developments in the national arena

Yemen’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Abdullah Al-Saadi, reviewed with the Philippine Deputy Foreign Minister, Carlos de Surita, on the sidelines of the Fifth UN Conference on the Least Developed Countries held in the Qatari capital, Doha, developments in the situation on the national scene, and efforts made to confront economic challenges and humanitarian crisis.

Al-Saadi stressed the keenness of the Presidential Leadership Council to adhere to the option of peace and exercise restraint to alleviate the suffering of the Yemenis despite the daily violations and attacks of the Houthi militia, and the commitment of the Yemeni government to provide all basic services to the Yemeni people and will not allow its efforts to achieve security and stability and to achieve a number of reforms in the fields be undermined.

The two sides discussed prospects for enhancing bilateral relations between the two friendly countries in many fields, especially coordinating positions in international forums and issues of common concern, and seeking to strengthen and develop relations between the two countries to include various fields.
