Yemen’s newly appointed prime minister Dr. Ahmed Awad Bin-Mubarak was sworn in Thursday before the chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi at Al-Ma’ashiq Palace in the temporary capital Aden, on the occasion of his appointment.

After the constitutional oath, President Al-Alimi congratulated the new Prime Minister on the occasion of gaining the confidence of the Presidential Leadership Council. He also praised the appreciated efforts of his predecessor Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik Saeed during his assumption of the head of government position under complex local and regional circumstances.

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Bin Mubarak presented the urgent priorities that his government should undertake during the next phase at all levels.The President stressed the priority of addressing the economic issue and living conditions, with a focus on the need for the state to fulfill its imperative obligations, including regular payment of employee salaries, improving basic services, and giving Aden its due attention that befits its status as the temporary capital of the country.

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council expressed his confidence in the Prime Minister and members of the government to work as one team to overcome the challenges, and to mobilize all capabilities and abilities to serve the battle to restore state institutions and alleviate the suffering of citizens.

 

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council stressed to the Prime Minister the importance of regularizing the work of the government with all its members from within, and urgently dealing with the concerns and needs of citizens in a timely manner in various fields.

He affirmed the commitment of the Presidential Leadership Council to support the government’s efforts, and to facilitate the exercise of its powers with full powers to alleviate the human suffering caused by the terrorist Houthi militias, and to achieve the aspirations of the Yemeni people for security, stability, peace and development.
