The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expresses the Yemen Republic’s condemnation and denunciation, in the strongest possible terms, of the repeated hostile Iranian attacks targeting the brotherly State of Kuwait. These actions constitute a flagrant violation of its sovereignty and security, and represent a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region, while undermining efforts toward de-escalation as well as regional and international peace.
The Ministry emphasizes that the Iranian regime’s continued pursuit of an aggressive policy targeting brotherly nations, utilizing its militias, and issuing cross-border threats constitutes a clear breach of international law, the United Nations Charter, and the principles of good-neighborly relations. Furthermore, it reflects a deeply concerning insistence on dragging the region into further tension, chaos, and instability.
The Ministry reaffirms the Republic of Yemen’s full solidarity and unwavering stance alongside the leadership, government, and people of the brotherly State of Kuwait. It underscores its absolute support for all measures taken by Kuwait to safeguard its security, stability, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
The Republic of Yemen calls upon the international community and the United Nations Security Council to assume their legal and moral responsibilities, and to adopt a firm stance to deter these repeated Iranian aggressions, protect the security and stability of the region, and spare its peoples further escalation and suffering.
