The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Republic of Yemen strongly condemns and denounces the repeated attacks carried out by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including the arson crimes targeting the Grand Mosque in Jiljilya village and Al-Farouq Mosque in Mazari al-Nubani village, north of Ramallah.
The Ministry emphasizes that these illegal practices constitute a flagrant violation of the sanctity of religious sites and an unacceptable infringement on the rights and properties of Palestinian civilians. Furthermore, they represent a clear breach of the provisions of international law and international humanitarian law, run counter to relevant resolutions of international legitimacy, and contribute to fueling tensions and undermining efforts aimed at achieving security, stability, and peace in the region.
The Republic of Yemen renews its call to the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities toward the Palestinian people, to work toward halting the ongoing violations in the occupied Palestinian territories, and to put an end to settlement policies and unilateral measures that undermine the prospects for a just and comprehensive peace.
The Republic of Yemen reaffirms its firm and unwavering stance in support of the legitimate and inalienable rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, foremost of which is their right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent, fully sovereign state along the borders of June 4, 1967, with Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with relevant United Nations resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
