The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns the terrorist Houthi attack on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemns the missile attack launched by the terrorist Houthi militia targeting the southern region and Abha Airport in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Ministry considers this attack a continuation of the militia’s approach of dragging Yemen into conflicts that serve the Iranian agenda and undermine efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.

The Ministry expresses the outright rejection by Yemen’s leadership and people of these practices, which do not represent them. It reaffirms its full solidarity with its brothers in the Kingdom, and its absolute support for all measures taken to protect Saudi Arabia’s security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

The Ministry underscores that the actions of the terrorist Houthi militia do not serve the interests of Yemeni citizens, nor do they contribute to alleviating their suffering. Rather, they fall within the scope of attempts to undermine state institutions, and threaten the peace efforts exerted by the Yemeni government alongside its regional and international partners.

The Republic of Yemen reiterates its commitment to the path of peace, while emphasizing that it will not allow its dedication to peace to be exploited as a cover to compromise its sovereignty or bypass its constitutional institutions. It will continue to take all legitimate measures to safeguard its security and the interests of its people, in accordance with international law.
