Republican Decree Issued Appointing Dr. Afrah Abdulaziz Al-Zouba as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates

 

Aden – Saba:

A Presidential Decree was issued today introducing a limited cabinet reshuffle in the Government headed by Prime Minister Dr. Shaya Mohsen Al-Zindani. The text of the decree reads as follows:

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council,

Having reviewed the Constitution of the Republic of Yemen;

The Gulf Cooperation Council Initiative and its Implementation Mechanism, signed on 23 November 2011;

Presidential Decree No. (9) of 2022 concerning the Declaration of the Transfer of Power and the establishment of the Presidential Leadership Council, issued on 7 April 2022;

Law No. (3) of 2004 concerning the Council of Ministers;

Presidential Decree No. (3) of 2026 concerning the formation of the Government and the appointment of its members;

And upon the proposal of the Prime Minister and the approval of the Presidential Leadership Council;

Hereby decrees the following:

Article (1): The following persons are hereby appointed to the positions indicated opposite their names:

  • Eng. Badr Mohammed Mubarak Basalama, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation.
  • Dr. Afrah Abdulaziz Al-Zouba, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
  • Dr. Ahd Mohammed Salem Jaasous, Minister of Local Administration.

Article (2): This Decree shall enter into force from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
