Stubborn Houthis violate UN-sponsored ceasefire, destroy Hodeidah houses

HODEIDAH-SABA
Houthis fighters launched a new heavy shelling and destroyed a number of houses in the port city of Hodeidah on Friday, three days after a UN-sponsored ceasefire came into effect.

Eyewitnesses told Saba the coupist militia fired shells on al-Mandhar neighborhood in downtown Hodeidah damaging houses beyond usefulness and causing scores of families to leave the neighborhood.

The militia have committed several acts of violence against government forces and civilians since the ceasefire came into effect in December 18.

On Thursday the militiamen launched heavy shelling and killed four troopers from the army’s Giants Brigades and injured sixteen others in heavy shelling on their sites.
