Yemen Government Condemns Houthi Attack on UN Offices, Humanitarian Work

ADEN-SABA
The Yemeni government strongly condemned the Houthi militia’s attack on UN offices in Sana’a, looting equipment and vehicles, in a blatant breach of international laws and diplomatic immunities.

The government stated this escalation, amid continued blockade of UN humanitarian flights to Sana’a and Marib, proves the militia’s defiance of the international community and aim to isolate areas under their control and turn them into a big prison far from humanitarian oversight.

The government accused the Houthis of systematically obstructing humanitarian work and using UN assets for military purposes, and called on the UN to take punitive measures against involved leaders.

It also urged international organizations to relocate to Aden to ensure uninterrupted humanitarian work and held the Houthis responsible for any humanitarian catastrophe.
