The Republic of Yemen strongly condemns the recent aggressive Iranian attacks that targeted the sisterly State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain over the past hours, affirming that the continued targeting of neighboring countries and civilian facilities exposes the aggressive and terrorist nature of the Iranian regime and its approach based on undermining the security and stability of the region.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates denounces the heinous Iranian attack that struck Kuwait International Airport, resulting in human casualties and significant material damage, in a blatant terrorist assault on a vital civilian facility and a clear violation of international humanitarian law, the Charter of the United Nations, and the principles of good neighborliness.
The Ministry also condemns the ongoing Iranian attacks against the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain, targeting civilian objects and threatening the safety of its citizens and residents. It considers this a systematic hostile behavior that reflects the Iranian regime’s insistence on expanding the cycle of chaos and escalation and undermining regional security and stability.
The Ministry further affirms that the deliberate targeting of airports, civilian infrastructure, and public facilities in neighboring states once again reveals the terrorist nature of the Iranian regime, whether through the use of missiles and drones, or through armed groups, violent militias, and cross-border instruments of disorder, constituting a direct threat to regional and international peace and security, as well as the safety of air and maritime navigation.
The Republic of Yemen reiterates its full solidarity with the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain, and its support for all measures they take to safeguard their security, stability, and the safety of their citizens and residents. It also commends the high readiness and efficiency demonstrated by the armed forces and relevant authorities in both sisterly countries in dealing with these criminal attacks.
The Republic of Yemen further emphasizes that the only viable path to ending this ongoing threat requires a firm international stance to deter the Iranian regime’s aggressive policies and to put an end to the use of missiles, drones, proxies, and armed militias as tools for blackmailing regional states and threatening their security, stability, and national sovereignty.
