WASHINGTON
The Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to the United States of America, Jamila Ali Raja, met today with Dr. Mohamed Maait, the Executive Director of the Arab Group and the Maldives at the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The meeting focused on avenues to enhance the partnership between Yemen and the Fund, and building upon the outcomes of the Article IV consultations approved earlier this year.
The Ambassador reaffirmed the government’s commitment to sustaining economic reforms, highlighting the strides made in public finance and monetary policy, which contribute to boosting revenues and building state institutions. Furthermore, she praised the ongoing cooperation with the IMF, commending the technical and institutional support provided to vital institutions in Yemen.
