The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expresses the Republic of Yemen’s condemnation and denunciation, in the strongest possible terms, of the new Iranian attacks that targeted the State of Kuwait and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. These attacks constitute a dangerous escalation, a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the two sisterly nations, the principles of international law, and the Charter of the United Nations, as well as a direct threat to regional security and stability.
The Ministry reaffirms the Republic of Yemen’s full solidarity with the State of Kuwait and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, standing firmly by their side in all legitimate measures they undertake to safeguard their security, sovereignty, and the safety of their citizens.
Furthermore, the Ministry holds the Iranian regime fully responsible for the continuation of this aggressive course, the danger of which is not limited to targeting sisterly nations, but extends to undermining regional peace and security, and fueling chaos and violence through policies of escalation and the deployment of proxies and armed groups to destabilize the region and threaten international navigation and civilian facilities.
The Ministry reiterates that experience has demonstrated that turning a blind eye to such practices has only led to further escalation and a wider scope of threat. This necessitates a more resolute international stance to deter the Iranian regime, enforce the rules of international law, and dry up the sources of support for terrorist groups and armed militias, which represent one of the most dangerous instruments destabilizing security and stability in the region.
