Yemen’s Ambassador Meets President of Cuban News Agency

Yemen’s Ambassador to the Republic of Cuba, Mohammed Nasher, met today with President of the Cuban News Agency, Jorge Legañoa Alonso, to discuss ways to strengthen media cooperation between the two friendly countries.

Ambassador Nasher briefed the Cuban official on the latest developments in Yemen, highlighting the threat posed by the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militia to Yemen’s and the region’s stability, as well as to the security of international navigation in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait. He also commended Prensa Latina’s interest in and coverage of developments in Yemen.

For his part, the President of the Cuban News Agency affirmed the agency’s commitment to providing professional and balanced coverage of events and to enhancing its coverage of developments in Yemen and the region.

The meeting was attended by the agency’s Vice President, Alejandro Gómez, and Director of International Relations, Conchita Bofill.
